    So you misspelled "acetic," but you spelled "acetobacter" correctly? That's literally the bacteria the acid is named for. They named it after the bacteria originally used to isolate it in the lab. 🤣

  2. The white scum is Kahm yeast. It is aerobic so stir it in and it is gone. It is not deadly.

  3. My raisin vinegar is having white layer on top, am I supposed to worry about, how long do I need to wait, it’s almost 10 days now

  4. good stuff other than the toothpaste gaffe. please check out Dr Nathan Bryan on the dangers of fluoride and tongue biome. Never use fluoride toothpaste….

    A question: i would was making a sort of hot tea at night using apple cider vinegar ( with the mother , whatever that is).
    I wonder, if the temperature of the hot water would kill the benefits.

  15. Loved your video. I'm ready to try making my own vinegar. Two questions, (1) where do you store your vineyard and (2) can you combine fruits (like strawberries & raspberries or strawberries & bananas)?

    Great video, and it's packed with info I didn't now about. I've been looking and making shrubs and switchel (1800's era Gatorade), which are closely related. This is starting from scratch and gives you excellent flexibility to make new and better tastes. Thank You!

    Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I'm really interested in trying this with dried fruit. Most of what i'm finding has potassium sorbate (as a preservative) or sunflower oil. Will either of those ingredients cause a problem with the fermentation process?

    Pretty sure that isn't mold, it's Kahm yeast which is completely harmless
