What if hydrogen could be converted to liquid fuels such as methanol, oxymethylene ether, synthetic crude, gasoline, diesel and jet fuel?
That's possible with Power-to-Liquid technology.
For this purpose, Methanol synthesis or the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is used. We take a closer look at the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
• Thereby, renewable energy powers electrolysers to produce green hydrogen.
• Afterwards, climate-neutral CO₂ like Direct Air Carbon Capture is converted into carbon feedstock.
• In the end, these carbon feedstocks are synthesised with green hydrogen to generate liquid hydrocarbons that are converted to produce a synthetic equivalent to kerosene.
Due to the high density, these liquid fuels can power aircrafts, ships and other types of transportation.
