We're going back to school today to go over the basics of pickling! Get the full recipe and detailed information here: This is a very simple and basic recipe for quick pickles or refrigerator pickles. You can process them for canning if you wish, but I usually just make a small batch to keep in the fridge. Here I show my basic recipe for making classic dill pickles, but the basic ration of vinegar, water, salt and sugar can be applied to just about anything. Cut the sugar for a brinier flavor. Double or triple the sugar for a bread and butter style. Change up the vegetables and spices and make it your own!
