Homemade is the essential ingredient in every household – it's like liquid gold. This year I was invited to Sicilian tomato master Filippo's, to his yearly batch using his very own -grown Roma tomatoes. 🍅💯

This practice is about more than cooking, it is an annual tradition where the whole family gathers together to create one of the simplest but most important ingredients that will feature heavily on the plate all year round. The custom is dying out in a lot of ways the older generation but I'm here to teach you how it's done so you can keep it going! 🍅

    Vincenzo and Filippo, the final step, its canning the sauce, yes? I can my sauce as well and i use a juicer i use quart canning jars. The process of the boiling, i use just the canner pot. The problem with the juicer, theres no pulp or a sauce continuity…just juice! Any suggestions on a device to make the sauce besides the device in the video? I like the basil idea! Great to see two legends working together! Thanks.
