HOMEMADE MAYONNAISE IN A FOOD PROCESSOR (HEALTHY) | WHOLE30 APPROVED (RECIPE #37)

I love to make mayonnaise especially when I want to do the Whole30 program. I hope you like the video and thanks for watching!

Ingredients
310 ml (1 ¼ cup) extra light olive oil, divided
1 egg room temperature and a good one (preferably fresh)
¼ – ½ tsp mustard powder
½ tsp salt
1-2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions:
In a bowl, combine egg, 60 ml (¼ cup) extra light olive oil, mustard powder, and salt. Mix well.

Turn on the food processor at the lowest speed. While it is running, very slowly drizzle 1 cup (250 ml) of extra light olive oil. This may take some time, but it works.

After adding all remaining oil and the mixture has emulsified and you are satisfied with the consistency, add lemon juice (1-2 tbsp) and mix. (Please note that while adding lemon juice, the mixture becomes thinner.) You can

Place this in the fridge to chill and firm up more.

    I just made this. I used organic avocado oil instead because I heard that the taste is more neutral. I also used an organic, paisture raised egg. I find it utterly disgusting and I'm sad about that. I eat a bit of mayo everyday mixed into my boiled eggs… it tastes like chalk. Is it supposed to taste like this??? Man, I'm disapointed because I don't want to keep eating the storw bought that has all the preservatives in it.

    Didnt work it just tasted like olive oil with a little bit of salt. Disgusting definitely don’t recommend
